Description:

Allison Transmission, a global leader in vehicle technology and innovation for over 100 years, is seeking an Onsite Manager of Workday and HR Information Systems to optimize, implement, and expand the company’s Workday HCM system. The ideal candidate will collaborate with HR, IT, and business teams to ensure seamless integration of HRIS solutions and drive technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the global development, implementation, and maintenance of Workday HR systems, including recruiting, compensation, payroll, time & absence, learning, and performance management.
  • Partner with HR, IT, and business teams to gather requirements, develop technology roadmaps, and manage implementation/testing.
  • Maintain expertise in HR business practices and HRIS technology to provide end-user support.
  • Identify and resolve system issues using advanced problem-solving techniques.
  • Manage HRIS work backlog and provide status reports to leadership.
  • Hire, lead, and manage a team of direct reports, contractors, and vendors.
  • Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives while fostering an inclusive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and manage employee relations as needed.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in ERP/HR applications.
  • 4+ years of experience as an HRIS Analyst, IT Analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong Workday configuration and business process management experience (4+ years).
  • Preferred supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Experience in vendor management is a plus.
  • Workday Pro Certification is preferred.
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills.
