Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist in all aspects of grower relations, including grape contracting, vineyard inspections, cultural practice advice, crop estimation and thinning recommendations, fruit maturity monitoring and harvest scheduling.

2. Assist in all aspects of wine production, including establishing winemaking protocols, directing cellar operations, hiring and scheduling cellar staff, maintaining production records, filing all required state and federal reports, ordering production and sanitary supplies, and maintaining winemaking equipment.

3. Assure facility, tasting room and grounds maintenance.

4. Provide sales support through winemaker dinners, winery special events, wine club shipments and distributor relations.

5. Develop understanding of the financial aspects of the business, including cost-benefits of different distribution options, cash flow requirements and just in time production.
