We seek candidates for this new position who enjoy working with a wide variety of people and are interested in learning new skills. The successful applicant will work with multiple teams on our campus to support our mission to provide excellent instruction and accessible resources to all our students. The successful candidate must have strong written and oral communication skills and be able to take a leadership role in training faculty and staff. Applicants need not have experience in all aspects of this position but should have a high level of comfort with technology, the ability to develop expertise in the required areas, and the ability to work independently. The person in this position does not need extensive programming skills to manage our website but must be able to update information, compose content, maintain aesthetic consistency and accessibility, and stay abreast of trends and opportunities.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
Salary Range (31): The monthly salary range is $5,157 - $6,610. There are five annual step movements; initial placement will be at step 1, unless approved by the Superintendent/President. Please see the current salary schedule here: MLCCD - Salary Schedule
Benefits: With no monthly premium contribution from the employee, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes family medical, dental, vision, EAP benefits and employee life insurance. Additional voluntary life insurance is available for employee purchase. Benefits are effective the first of the month following hire date.
Holidays and Paid Time Off: The successful candidate will earn twelve (12) days of vacation and twelve (12) days of sick leave per year. Vacation leave increases with the length of service. There are twenty (20) paid holidays annually.
Retirement: This position is eligible for CalPERS Retirement.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
The successful candidate will support student and institutional success by executing the following duties:
Learning Management System(s) (LMS)
Works in coordination/Collaboration with the Distance Education (DE) Coordinator, Information Technology (IT) Director, and Instruction Office regarding the LMS system .
Assists educators in designing learning experiences that are engaging and impactful. Provides individual and group consultation services to faculty and recommends enhancements to integrate academic technology into instruction and assists them in designing effective online, hybrid, and web-enhanced courses;
Researches and recommends best practices in the areas of instructional design, learning science and the use of high- impact academic technology and teaching practice; and
Provides technical support, diagnoses problems, and aids faculty, staff, and managers when they encounter technical problems navigating online learning technologies supported by the campus; and
Responds to LMS HelpDesk emails in collaboration with Distance Education Coordinator.

Works in collaboration with the Director of Community Relations and Communication to produce a consistent visual image on the website(s), including maintenance of templates, image archives, branding guidelines, tone, and content.
Designs, develops, maintains, and modifies the College's existing website(s), portals, and supporting web pages, based on management priorities, policy directions, and goals;
Assesses new standards, technologies, and trends, and formulates strategies and plans for ongoing enhancement of websites to ensure an accurate, engaging, informational, interactive, and user-friendly site for all stakeholders;
Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders to maximize the website as a tool for recruitment, retention, and continual student success; and provide training, content, review, and publishing of webpages; and
Troubleshoots and repairs bugs and problems.
