Re:Car dba SLATE is looking for an energetic, organized, experienced Visual Designer to join our growing team.
What you get to do:
The responsibilities of the Visual Designer include but are not limited to the following:
- Work with a team of designers, product managers, marketing experts, and engineers on a range of initiatives that include implementing brand style across user interface, web site design, and marketing communications.
- Plan, analyze and create visual solutions to communication problems.
- Collaborate with design and marketing leadership on aligning visual expression with organizational objectives.
- Present to internal teams and leadership, putting design solutions in context of business and customer goals.
What you bring to the team:
- 4+ years of design experience, 6+ years design experience preferred.
- Associate's degree or certificate in graphic design or related field required, Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field is preferred.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in design principles, messaging hierarchy, typography, color theory, and layout techniques, as well as a systematic approach to brand, web site, and app visuals.
- Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UI systems.
- Expert in using Adobe Creative Suite, Office, and other design software and tools.
- Knowledgeable of web design standards, best practices, and accessibility guidelines.
- Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity, with multiple stakeholders.
- A team player with a positive outlook and an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Highly organized with robust time-management capabilities.
- Exhibit passion for emerging technologies, new interaction models, apps, and interactive interfaces of popular consumer electronics
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
- Proficient in both writing and speaking the English language
- Experience with UX design of complex workflows is preferred.
- Experience designing in an agile development environment is preferred.
