Description:
Obtaining and validating program information from all FSS activities for the purpose of promoting and advertising programs and services. With little or no guidance prepares a wide variety design materials including fliers, brochures, posters, logos, and promotional materials to best promote the program or facility. Create and design materials for advertising and marketing via print media, to include writing, layout, artwork and printing, using a variety of software programs such as Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop) and Microsoft Office. Stays abreast of current design and industry trends and applies it to operations. Coordinates the design and distribution of promotional items. Assists the marketing team with brainstorming, advertising, and marketing strategies. Proofreads finished products in order to produce accurate, high-quality work. Demonstrates illustrative skill through design in a timely manner. Manages and organizes graphic files, including photo and design files. Coordinates layout of monthly, multi-pay magazine. Effectively uses the Marketing ticketing website to work with facility managers on their requested projects. Attends major FSS events and provides constructive marketing feedback to activity managers. May also perform general office duties such as answering phones and greeting visitors, make on site visits to Force Support facilities and attend marketing meetings. Responsible for inventory and ordering print production materials and supplies while maintaining and minor repair of various productions and bindery equipment

Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience in web design and maintenance. Must have experience in the design and layout of various advertising such as websites, social media, flyers, calendars, promotional emails or other forms of media. Knowledge of HTML and CSS preferred. Video editing and design preferred. A degree in Digital Communication and Multimedia, Marketing, Graphic Design, or related fields is desirable. Must be able to read, write and speak English, and possess skill in working with the general public.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
