Opportunity Requirements

  • Bachelors in Graphic Design, Architecture, Fine Arts, Marketing, or other related field preferred.
  • 5-8 years of professional graphic design experience from a creative agency, architectural firm, digital media, commercial real estate owner/developer, or design related profession.
  • Advanced InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office knowledge required. After Effects and Premier Pro are a plus.
  • An excellent creative portfolio highlighting relevant experience in brand creation and/or development, brand collateral creation, website design and visual storytelling.
  • Must be flexible and highly motivated, with a willingness to take initiative, be resourceful, and work independently.
  • Ability to guide design consultants and vendors to desired design, budget and schedule goals in a way that encourages and ensures rapid progress but does not hamper their creativity.
  • Strong design skills with a good eye and refined aesthetic sensibilities across all types of medium and in multiple types of aesthetic styles.
  • Highly organized with strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with all learning styles and personality types.
  • Proficient in online project management/productivity tools – Asana preferred.

Summary of Responsibilities

An essential function of this position is regular and predictable attendance. Managers are responsible to become experts on their respective focused projects. They will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to provide direction needed to progress design initiatives. Ultimately, they are also able to self-manage in situations where they are both executors and managers of their respective tasks. The core responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage and execute (when applicable) the design process, development, and production of custom print, digital, and environmental visual communications, including strategic presentations, non-HTML websites, large-scale graphics for marketing suites/leasing experience, temporary signage/window clings, event communications/graphics, environmental wayfinding, and other.
  • Create original visual identities from concept to fruition. Collaborate with team members to brainstorm ideas and contribute to creative discussions. Utilize mockups, studies, stakeholder presentations, workshopping, and feedback incorporation to establish project buy-in.
  • Adopt standards and procedures related to STUDIO while continuing to seek better design solutions, through technology, tools, and process.
  • Recommend actionable, implementable, pragmatic, and creative solutions within workstreams. Maintain a high standard of visual quality control across all projects. Responsibility to maintain project deliverables and flag any issues or concerns which hinder project objectives (scope, timeline, budget).
  • Create, organize, maintain, archive and retire creative assets including but not limited to stock images, Creative Markets collateral, and various digital libraries.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to develop a high level of confidence, trust, and credibility by way of clear and frequent reports, responsiveness, transparency, and efficiency. Critical to ensure STUDIO Leadership is up to date on project status.
  • Create new and maintain relationships with vendors and consultants for purpose of receiving most economical and professional solutions.
  • Assist the Company’s various teams on how to access content, develop materials, and leverage the Company’s existing collateral.
  • Graphic design projects to include but not limited to:
    • Templates
    • Presentations
    • Pitchbooks
    • Digital and physical signage pieces
    • Environmental graphics (wayfinding and marketing suites)
    • Advertisement
    • Event collateral
    • Brand development – for both Corporate and Property
    • Website Design (WIX, WordPress, or other)
    • Special projects (i.e. printed development portfolio, window clings, and promotional items)
  • Other duties, as assigned.
