Description:
The Wichita Art Museum (WAM) is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, outgoing individual to provide museum visitors with an outstanding experience and the highest level of customer service. As the first impression for all guests, this position requires positive energy and a great attitude. The Visitor Services Coordinator will work independently and collaboratively to ensure a positive visitor experience.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and being attentive to visitors’ needs.
· Establishes, coordinates, and maintains a positive visitor experience including greeting visitors, taking admissions, and selling memberships.
· Communicates with visitors about exhibitions, programming, wayfinding, and museum rules and guidelines.
· Educate visitors on membership benefits to successfully sell memberships.
· Help identify and measure key performance indicators to drive visitor satisfaction.
· Handle all incoming calls in a professional manner, answering questions, and directing calls.
· Utilize Microsoft Office and point-of-sale (POS) software to collect and report visitor information accurately.
· Assist in the collection of visitor data through surveys and database reports.
· Perform daily close and cash reconciliation procedures accurately.
· Perform data entry and general office tasks. Other duties as needed.
