Visiting Assistant Professor

 

Description:

The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law invites applications for the position of Visiting Professor. Our primary area of needs include Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law, Contracts, Criminal Law/Procedure, Election Law, Intellectual Law, and/or Property. The ideal candidate will conduct scholarly research and teach in areas including Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law, Contracts, Criminal Law/Procedure, Election Law, Intellectual Law, and/or Property, as well as other needed courses. The position will begin in the 2024-25 academic year. Instruction will begin in the Fall of 2024 and/or Spring of 2025.

Courses include but not limited to:

  • Civil Procedure

  • Constitutional Law

  • Contracts

  • Criminal Law/Procedure

  • Election Law

  • Intellectual Property

  • Property

Education and Experience Requirements:

Required: A JD is required. Candidates should have relevant occupational experience and strong potential in all relevant areas of performance, including classroom teaching, feedback on student work, public service, and maintaining knowledge in the field. Seven or more years of classroom teaching in the law school environment is strongly preferred.
