Key Responsibilities:
- Track and report on all pipeline activity within internal databases (via Salesforce, Salesloft, etc.)
- Possess a strong understanding of Apex Leaders’ service offerings and operations; be able to discuss in the context of potential customers’ operations
- Develop accurate and timely sales forecasts based on pipeline conversion metrics
- Build, manage, coach, inspire and build a sales and marketing team (local and remote)
- Achieve weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales goals and present progress towards performance metrics
- Drive sales team to hit 1 trial per BDD per month consistently
- Ensure marketing function to achieve leads needed as defined by quarterly and annual revenue goals
- Travel to meet with prospective clients and to industry conferences (travel expectation is up to 20% per month)
- An avid student of sales, always learning and adding to the process
What You Will Bring
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Sales & Marketing, or similar
Experience
- 7-10+ years of experience in Sales Development, Lead Generation, Sales to the M&A industry (previous experience selling to private equity firms desired, but not required)
- 3+ years of previous leadership experience building and managing sales teams
- Success and passion for selling $200k+ contracts with a longer sales cycle
- Experience building and managing a sales function
- Experience managing the marketing function within an organization
- Preferred experience being a part of a Leadership Team providing strategic insights on market dynamics and feedback to other areas of our business
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Proficient in using Salesforce, Google Suite, Salesloft, LinkedIn, and other databases
- Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, innovative environment
- Proven track record of succeeding in a goal-driven environment
- Excellent oral (including call control) and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels of an organization
- Ability to quickly learn new processes and technology and proactively work to improve internal processes as necessary
