Vice President Of Business Development

We are looking for a talented and highly motivated Head of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be a strategic architect, leading the company's global growth, forging partnerships with strategics, end users, industry leaders, governments, and suppliers across the industry. This position will play a critical role in propelling the company's business development, relationships and growth as Diraq expands to international markets. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of a pioneering quantum computing company. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to define their own role and career trajectory in this field.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement a comprehensive global business development strategy aligned with the company's vision and market opportunities.

· Work closely with the Technical team to translate breakthroughs into commercial and product implications, whilst also collaborating with the Commercial team to identify commercial opportunities that support the company in achieving milestones.

· Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders covering strategics, end users, industry leaders, governments, and suppliers, covering the global mandate strategics, end users, industry leaders, governments, and suppliers, with the view to prepare the Company ahead of capital raises, product development and commercialisation.

· Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify potential partners across industry, foundries, government and academic sectors on a global scale.

· Conduct market research to understand potential customer needs and industry trends within the quantum computing industry.

· Conduct thorough research and take the lead on identifying global tender and grant opportunities that align with the company's technical roadmap, and liaising with the Technical team to manage the application process optimising for success.

· Stay abreast of global regulations and actively shape policies to support the company's objectives and technology.

· Attend and present at key industry events, with a focus on developing relationships and growing the company’s presence in key markets.

· Participate in the preparation of presentations and communication materials for internal and external stakeholders, including government, industry, research and potential partners.

· Build and lead a high-performing business development team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics Engineering, Science, or a related field.

· Minimum 15 years of experience in strategy, business development and leadership with a proven track record of success in a multi-national or start-up, preferably within the deep tech industry.

· Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a high-performing team.

· Extensive knowledge of the deep tech landscape, global markets, and emerging technologies.

· Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and a willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced start-up environment

· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders

· A demonstrated knowledge in quantum technologies is ideal. The successful candidate should have a passion for startups and commercialising deep tech.
