Description:
Robert Half is seeking a Vice President, North America Division. The VP will positively impact divisional revenue growth by identifying and disseminate best practices and productivity enhancements and work consultatively with senior field management at the direction of the Executive Director.
Guiding Principles:
- Vice President team made up of divisional knowledge experts and proven divisional sales leaders deemed to be “high potential” staff members being groomed for more responsibility.
- Vice President will adopt, promote and display a consultative manner when serving their constituents, Field Managers and divisional staff members.
- The Executive Director will train, coach, develop and oversee the divisional Vice Presidents with input from senior field management.
- Vice President candidates will be jointly reviewed for consideration by the Executive Director and the Operating Presidents.
- The Vice President will examine field operations looking to identify opportunities to provide value through training of staff. Recommendations will be given to Field Managers for implementation after review and approval by the appropriate Operating Presidents/ Sr. Districts.
- As a Divisional expert, the Vice President will be expected to be aware of and communicate new trends in the industry to drive change to the operating model, new service extensions or technology opportunities.
Strategic Role:
- Vice President will reinforce the hiring model for divisional sales professionals and Division Directors by training Field Managers on best practices for recruiting and hiring staff members in addition to consulting with them on important hires. Supplement basic training message to new hires, reinforcing RHI University, and ensuring that consistent operational and sales messages are carried to new hires.
- Provide recommendations to the district and regional management teams on critical improvements needed to grow their business.
- Executive Director oversees the deployment of Vice President team and simultaneously guides the development of divisional training materials thereby ensuring that training messages are consistent and on point.
- Vice President will provide guidance and coaching on business development by showing Branch Managers and Division Directors to identify underdeveloped companies, territories or industries and develop a strategy to create revenue in those markets.
- Vice President team will function as an implementation team for new best practices or technologies through rollout training and ongoing support.
Tactical Role:
- Pre-visit/gain insight on objectives through a scheduled teleconference with Regional Manager.
- Conduct a meeting with the Branch Managers and Division Directors upon arrival at a given branch to get an assessment on their key challenges.
- Provide on the floor training on operational procedures and sales techniques and technology applications.
- Work directly with staff in evaluating the effectiveness of the operating model and use of technology to drive starts and hours growth.
- Verbally debrief local management (at conclusion of visit) on observations and priority issues to be implemented for growth.
- Collaboratively set predetermined goals by quarter with the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years' successful BMG experience.
- Ability to travel minimum 40+ weeks per year (many Sunday departures).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, consistently good business judgment, outstanding professional presence, training ability and a proven track record of success with RH with practical knowledge of divisional operations and tools.
