McKesson's Corporate Strategy and Business Development team is seeking to add a Vice President to support its existing CoverMyMeds team that would be responsible for scouting opportunities to accelerate key capabilities in line with McKesson's business strategy by identifying up and coming biopharma, biotech, and digital health players for strategic partnership and/or acquisition.

Successful candidates will have experience "in the business" of digital health solutions for biopharma and biotech companies, with a strong network of relevant relationships. Candidates must be able to articulate the characteristics of successful players in the market and identify potential partners who are positioned to win in the long term. Ideal candidates are self-starters, self-directed, and motivated to make contact with potential partners and advance a relationship aggressively. The role will report to the Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Business Development for CoverMyMeds.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintains a contemporary view of key biopharma, biotech, and digital health innovators
• Develops and maintains a view of market dynamics related to biopharma's needs in the provider, payer, and digital health space, including ongoing evaluation of McKesson's opportunities to create new value in this space
• Attends key conferences to build and maintain relationships with emerging and scaled players in the space, including, but not limited to HIMSS, HLTH, Assembia, and similar industry forums
• Oversees partnership and M&A pipeline development for biopharma's needs in digital health, patient, provider, and payer services
• Establishes relationships with select group of the target companies as a function of getting to know them
• Maintains thorough knowledge of company's products, competition, and broader market dynamics that frame the business context both present and near future
• Develops economic models to evaluate acquisitions, new business models, or in support of understanding the size, growth, and evolution of markets in which we do business, doing so with imperfect data
• Builds trust and productive relationships with team members and stakeholders across the organization
• Contributes to shaping of McKesson's holistic, long-range biopharma, biotech, and digital health strategy
• Influences and drives conviction that a given partnership makes sense among the President and key executive leaders of the division
• Capacity to manage direct or indirect (business unit) reports as needs arise
