About the role

  • Primary commercial leader and influencer within the Atlantic Joint Business; champions and advocates for BA/IB and JB priorities, commercial initiatives, and joint projects by developing strong relationships and influence within the AA’s commercial leadership team
  • Developing and implementing the sales plan that delivers against the broader commercial strategy and revenue plan, while balancing the trade-offs between revenue, cost, distribution goals, and customer/partner relations
  • Cultivating positive and resilient B2B partnerships with accounts and other business partners, utilising impactful account management practices
  • Driving purposeful engagement via digital outreach and in-person interactions, ensuring high levels of client fulfillment and acceptable margins
  • Ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of the sales pipeline, focusing the sales team on timely advancement of opportunities
  • Continuously monitoring and analysing performance data
  • Monitoring the commercial landscape, collating and disseminating customer, competitor, and marketplaces insights internally
  • Shaping the culture, strategy, and ways of working, serving as a key member and decision-maker in the Global Sales Leadership Team (SLT)

Requirements

About you

  • Experience negotiating large (>£10m annual cost), complex agreements with demanding third-party organizations
  • Ability to achieve business objectives by leading and motivating large, geographically dispersed teams in hybrid/remote working environments
  • Experience of planning at a strategic level
  • Relevant commercial leadership experience within a commercial airline or applicable travel industry vertical (agency, hotel, car, consulting, etc.)
  • Experience leading a sales team or similar team of commercial professionals (essential)
  • Proficiency using modern analytical and data-visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, etc.) (essential)
  • Knowledge of the airline business and sales/distribution channels
