Description:
Spectrum Business is seeking a Vertical Sales Engineer II to design and propose innovative private networking and voice solutions based on MEF standards. This role involves consulting with clients, developing technical sales proposals, and collaborating with Sales teams to acquire and retain enterprise clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with clients and Sales teams to create cost-effective proposals.
- Design network solutions including topologies, technical specifications, and integration plans.
- Prepare network solution designs and estimate project costs.
- Collaborate with Sales teams to develop solution pricing.
- Create and deliver technical presentations explaining product benefits.
- Assist in the implementation of solutions by responding to sales support inquiries.
- Conduct client site surveys and provide post-sale documentation and support.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in telecommunications sales engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree or technical equivalent.
- Expertise in designing and implementing WAN solutions using Ethernet, MPLS, L3VPN, SD-WAN.
- Familiarity with routing, switching, security, CoS/QoS, IEEE 802.11, CWDM, DWDM.
- Knowledge of voice services (POTS, T1, ISDN PRI, SIP, Unified Communications).
- Experience with managed services, video services, and network distribution.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze client needs and offer consultative recommendations.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of technical sales experience.
- 7+ years of experience in sales engineering, network engineering, telecommunications, or carrier network support.
- Active technical certifications (preferred).
