Description:
The Systems/Verification Engineer is an integral member of a team functioning as a system integrator to ensure that the required vehicle functions are integrated and verified to meet the contract specifications and requirements. This position supports NASA based work.
What you'll be doing:
- Work hand-in-hand with the program architect, system integrators, and other subject matter experts to ensure a verifiable and manufacturable solution that meets customer requirements
- Develop and execute end-to-end verification plans for a vehicle integrated system
- Perform verification activities at the system level and support lower-level verification activities as needed
- Work collaboratively with system and subsystem engineers to identify and resolve verification issues
- Develop and maintain system-level verification artifacts, including test procedures and reports
- Develop and execute regression test plans to ensure system functionality is maintained throughout the development lifecycle
- Analyze and report on system-level verification results,
- Engage in and fully cognizant of the team's products and services which are being produced and delivered to the customer
- Participate in Deep Dives in special focus areas of the design based on challenges verifying requirements
- Support internal make and external subcontract reviews, product development, troubleshooting, design, test, integration, verification, and production
- Support various program boards and reviews, ensuring a mission success mindset while balancing cost and schedule constraints
Basic Qualifications for the Systems/Verification Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree engineering or related field
- 5 years experience as a Systems/Verification Engineer
- Experience with spaceflight product certification
- Proven experience in a fundamental space vehicle discipline (e.g., structures, mechanisms, propulsion, thermal, avionics, power systems)
- Experience performing the validation role of V&V for complex systems
- Strong understanding of system-level verification techniques and methodologies
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary teams through complex technical issues
