Ux/ui Architect

 

Description:

Our client is seeking a skilled UX/UI Architect to join their team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our mobile application and digital ecosystem.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely on strategy with product ownership, development teams, and data owners to gather the user requirements needed.
  • Facilitate the product vision by conducting research, low-fidelity wires, prototyping, and user-testing experiences for our mobile application and digital ecosystem.
  • Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for devices and interfaces.
  • Act as an SME and project lead for a large, critical project, providing direction to teams and acting as a primary point of contact.
  • Be accountable for strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
  • Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
  • Collaborate with other team members and partners.
  • Ask inquisitive questions, do things differently, and champion innovation.
  • Establish and foster relationships with Agency leadership to improve citizen, business, or employee experiences as it relates to citizen or business journeys.
  • Create ongoing records of meetings, contacts, outcomes, opportunities, planned course of actions, status of actions, and outcomes.
  • Creation or updating process maps, process descriptions, and identification or prioritization of opportunities.
  • Process analysis planned course of actions, and documenting outcomes as it relates to the necessary opportunities for improvements. This may include:
  • Current state documentation and analysis
  • Future state recommendation and designs
  • Documenting and aligning to use cases, requirements, agile stories, etc.
  • Working with other architects to align to technical solutions.
  • Creation and stewardship of business and technical capability models, including alignment and support of Agency and IT leadership. This includes establishing capability model best practices, governance, ownership, ongoing maintenance, and standard operating procedures.
  • Review and analysis of current website design and future website design, including technical stacks.
  • Documentation of deployment plan, including Agency and IT engagement as well as execution of plan.
  • Citizen journey experience analysis, recommendations, improvement plan, and overseeing execution of plan, including acting as a subject matter expert/decision maker for certain user experience decisions.
  • Creation of website style sheets and UX standards, including deployment and support models.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer or similar role.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your design process and deliverables.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to act as a project lead and SME for large, critical projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a user-centered design approach.
  • Proficiency in standard UX software such as Figma, Sketch, Axure, UXPin, Balsamiq, and the like. Figma is our current tool, and you must be able to maintain designs in that environment.
  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability, and accessibility concerns.
  • Expert in User-Centered Design methodologies; UX/UI Design and creating mock-ups and prototypes at varying levels of fidelity.
