JOB DESCRIPTION: TRC Advanced Energy is seeking an Outreach Representative to support outreach, education, and intake for utility programs within the greater Sacramento region. Customers qualifying for our programs can participate in a comprehensive list of opportunities including gas to electric HVAC systems and water heaters, electric vehicle chargers, smart thermostats, refrigeration equipment, high efficiency lighting, and commercial kitchen equipment. As an ambassador for utility savings programs, you will be trusted to educate participants on what is available to lower utility costs and reduce the impact on our environment. In this role, you will be the initial contact working with interested customers, businesses, and program partners. This role offers many opportunities to make a positive impact in the community while focusing on a business sector in need of help and support.

Candidates for this position should have experience developing and leading successful outreach campaigns. A basic understanding of energy efficiency and electrification principles is desirable. Previous experience working with small to medium business owners is desired. Previous outreach and program experience with energy efficiency, electrification, building performance principles and best practices, and the ability to translate technical information to the market is highly desirable. Candidate must be detail-oriented, have strong communication and customer service skills, and the capacity to handle multiple projects with competing deadlines.

Responsibilities:

JOB DUTIES: As a member of TRC’s Advanced Energy team, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Developing overall program outreach strategy and leading targeted outreach campaigns direct to customers.
  • Developing strategies to better engage program contractors and encourage project referrals
  • Conducting direct outreach to, and building strong relationships with, various stakeholders including contractors, and local organizations.
  • Delivering custom project proposals to customers and reviewing options with them for moving forward with their projects.
  • Coordinating and building strong relationships with building owners and building portfolio managers
  • Actively engaging with participants, trade groups, and associations to promote program offerings and services.
  • Working with operations and project coordination staff to populate CRM database and provide accurate project documentation.
  • Work independently as well as collaborate with multiple team members.
