Responsibilities:

Under the general supervision of the Director of Student Affairs, the academic advisor provides high quality support and customer service to undergraduates, faculty, and staff in the School of Education. Advises undergraduates about a variety of procedures and requirements for completing their degrees. Analyzes, interprets, and explains University policies and procedures such as, add/drop, change of grade, transferability of courses, course substitutions, student behavior, grade point average requirements, and change of major. Assesses student needs, goals, problems, and personal adjustments relating to or affecting their academic performance. Anticipates and resolves problems in a timely manner. Works closely with student service offices on campus and provides resources for students to use in regards to academic life on campus. Oversees all aspects of fieldwork advising for the Education Sciences majors.
