KBS Energy Solutions is a Mentor-Protege, between BCS, LLC (Protege) and KeyLogic (Mentor). We have an immediate opening for a Remote UI/UX Developer to join our team supporting the Department of Energy (DOE), National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), and the DOE's Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains (MESC).
Position Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship
- Bachelor's degree is required
- A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience.
- Ability to travel to Washington, DC- Pittsburgh, PA - or Morgantown, WV if needed.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organization skills
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop MESC websites
- Ensure products are usable, serviceable, and enjoyable to use by customers.
- Work closely and collaboratively to develop new products, platforms and design systems.
- Providing communications and outreach support through various online platforms, including the DOE website (and other DOE-supported sites), GovDelivery, social media, and blog.
- Ensuring adherence to DOE PA/MESC and federal standards across the web/digital enterprise, including Section 508 compliance and captioning/transcription services to appropriately accommodate the hearing and visually impaired to access information.
- Supporting and implementing search engine optimization strategies.
- Ensure that all websites and content are in compliance with DOE’s Public Affairs (PA) website standards and products are 508 compliant.
- Design and develop static web pages.
- Create web page content, including text, images, and graphics, accurately reflecting DOE messaging.
- Provide editorial support for web content.
- Create dynamic web pages using a content management system. Develop dynamic user interface features, including animations, motion graphics, and interactive elements.
- Define website display standards to ensure a consistent appearance and style for all pages on a site, and promote the strategic objectives of DOE communications.
- Design page templates to define standard website page formats.
- Develop database queries to populate web pages based on dynamic data.
