Description:
This position exists to strategize, plan, conduct and evaluate tuberculosis (TB) educational systems that support all facets of TB control, care, and prevention. This position promotes guidance as developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and develops TB-specific educational, evaluation, and awareness annual plans that support the TB Program’s human resource development (HRD) section of the cooperative agreement (co-ag) projects. The scope and scale of this position is broad, responding to internal TB program needs, the needs of local and tribal public health responsible for TB case management and directly observed therapy, the needs of providers and health care systems responsible for the timely diagnosis and proper treatment of both TB disease and latent infection, and the needs of communities that face higher burdens of TB due to increased risk of exposure and infection. This position additionally serves as the project manager and planner for key TB program activities designed to increase workflow efficiencies and allow for better oversight and evaluation of TB control statewide.
Qualifications must explicitly reflect minimum qualifications to be assessed:
Two (2) years of professional public health or health-related program experience working with vulnerable adults and diverse communities.
