Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Primarily will serve as troubleshooter for the 53G, 62F, Q101B and 125 programs, but will also work on all production and engineering projects as directed
- Collaborate with electrical engineers or other personnel to identify, define, or solve production and development product electrical and/or operational problems or issues.
- Will be responsible for documenting, repairing, and assembling electrical and electronic systems according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools, electrical/mechanical items, and measuring instruments.
Desired Skills:
- 2-year degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering Technology with 1+ years of practical electrical technician work experience; OR 2-year degree with 4+ years of practical electrical technician work experience; OR non-degree with 7 years minimum practical electrical technician work experience.
- 1+ years of proficiency in the use of digital test meters, oscilloscopes, RF Instrumentation, analog/digital test equipment, product firmware/software installation, cable construction, and a working knowledge of personal computer systems.
- 1+ years of proficiency in troubleshooting electronics and electro-mechanical systems down to the component level.
- 1+ years of fluency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- 1+ years of experience in soldering techniques involving through-hole and fine-pitch SMT components.
- 1+ years of strong writing skills for generating test box wiring and construction diagrams, compiling lab notes and manuals, and other required activity support documents.
- Ability to obtain a secret security clearance. Security clearances are granted to U.S. citizens.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Must be team and goal-oriented.
- Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Willing to follow written and verbal work instructions.
- Willing to draw or modify diagrams and assist in writing product or design specifications to clarify design details and functional criteria of various electronics units.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Normal finger dexterity, and normal color vision.
- The candidate must be capable of lifting 40 pounds occasionally, waist high, with no assistance.
