Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with a passion for Transmission Line design? Do you want to make a difference by providing essential engineering services in the energy industry? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering services for Transmission Line design, including routing, detailed design, specifications preparation, and construction support.
- Work on transmission line voltages ranging from 34.5kV to 345kV, ensuring the highest standards of safety and performance.
- Oversee and provide engineering insight to transmission consultants, ensuring compliance with industry standards and processes.
- Offer engineering support to Member Systems on distribution line matters, covering 12KV design, sag/tension calculations, easement procurement, and joint use pole issues.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of departmental standards and specifications.
- Provide support for line maintenance activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, civil engineering, or a related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in Transmission Line design.
- Proficiency with PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE, utilizing Method 4 structure analysis.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
