Description:
The Training Specialist delivers training and ensures the staff have the training support necessary to achieve specified goals and objectives with the Affinity Travel Practice Group. Maintains user guides and other job aids. Maintains current knowledge of updated business unit products/services, management needs, processes and procedures, and new training methods and techniques.
Job Responsibilities
- Conducts and facilitates training sessions
- Works with management team to schedule associates for training classes
- Researches, designs, and revises course material to remain technologically and professionally current.
- Works with team to formulate teaching outline and determine appropriate instructional methods to ensure training and development needs are met.
- Evaluates overall effectiveness of courses being taught to ensure an effective transfer of skills/knowledge to students.
- Delivers training in multiple formats, i.e., classroom, WebEx, Live Meeting, teleconference, video conference.
Required Experience
- Solid knowledge of Travel Insurance claims (policies and processing)
- Experience in developing and conducting training sessions is preferable.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Adaptable to change and able to work in fast paced environment
- Creative, innovative and technologically savvy
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently in a multi-tasking environment, as well as part of a team.
- Ability to interact comfortably with employees at all levels within the organization
- Availability to travel as needed for training
