Apply broad knowledge of leading-edge transportation engineering principles and techniques to improve the efficiency, reliability, resilience, and safety of transportation systems.
Analyze and document findings in technical memos, project reports and research summaries.
Utilize a wide range of software tools, including Excel, Synchro, VISSIM, HSM, ISATe, Cube, and other traffic operations programs to develop comprehensive plans.
Prepare traffic design plans using MicroStation or AutoCAD
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a civil engineering or relevant field required.
PE in traffic engineering is required.
5+ years of relevant experience
Experience managing tasks, projects, and/or staff is required.
Demonstrated project experience using VISSIM is required.
Ability to complete assignments with high quality, on time, and within budget.
Must have self-initiative to solve problems and to keep up to date on the latest innovations in traffic engineering.
Ability to seamlessly juggle between competing projects and priorities.
Must demonstrate technical professional competency in traffic engineering and transportation planning as it relates to the safety, planning, engineering, design, and operational needs of transportation systems.
