Description:
This position reports to the Total Rewards Manager and is considered a North American Center of Excellence resource. The Total Rewards Analyst will work with all North American customer groups and business units including Tampa Office functional departments, Mills, Downstream, and Metallics/Raw Materials.
The position will be responsible for supporting one or more Total Rewards functions, which may include health and welfare administration, retirement, or compensation.
The qualifications for this job are:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required.
Minimum 4-7 years experience in Total Rewards area(s) such as health and welfare, retirement and savings plans, and/or compensation/executive compensation. Vendor management and union relations experience strongly preferred.
Third Party Administrator experience strongly preferred.
CEBS, GBA, CCP or other applicable certifications preferred.
Working knowledge of best practices, laws, requirements, and regulations impacting the administration of Total Rewards plans.

Ability to adapt to many varied situations, circumstances, and personalities at all levels within and outside the company.
Ability to analyze large data sets, assess trends or patterns, and make recommendations based on data (quantitative) and situational factors (qualitative).
Must be able to simplify data to arrive at main conclusions, and key presentation and discussion points.
Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
Negotiation skills and the ability to communicate with leaders at all levels in the organization needed.
Significant experience with the use of HR systems/relational databases (SAP experience preferred but not required) and query/report development.
MS office proficiency and Advanced Excel skills required.
Ability to interpret functional and vendor specifications.
Ability to keep abreast of changes in Total Rewards-related laws, requirements, and regulations by participating in workshops, attending seminars, forums, and subscribing to information services.
Ability to assist in managing projects.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Supports all day-to-day activities associated with the management of Total Rewards programs and plans are efficiently and accurately administered in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations and company policy, with a focus on continuous improvement. Handle escalated issues with customers or vendors as needed.
Participate and provide support during annual/regular processes in the Total Rewards department. Examples may include annual merit processing, short-term incentive payouts, Total Rewards online system updates, or open enrollment.
Partner with and support field HR requests in all areas of Total Rewards to include Health & Welfare, Retirement, and/or Compensation.
Participate in surveys and benchmarking activities that support the Total Rewards area on a regular (i.e., annual) or ad-hoc basis. Use relevant benchmark data and provide suggestions for strategy planning.
Assist, respond to, and support audit requests from external and internal parties. Document internal processes, procedures, and administration as appropriate for audit requirements. Facilitates annual audit preparation and completion.
Develop and document internal processes and procedures to support consistency, process improvement, and simplicity in the Total Rewards area.
Participate and support Total Rewards projects to include timeline, budget, vendor management, change management, and communications plans.
Participate and support special projects such as corporate actions, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, layoffs, reductions in force and location closings or start-ups.
Proactively identifies Total Rewards challenges and opportunities and recommends creative and practical solutions and strategies to resolve challenges and/or capitalize on opportunities.
Develop and facilitate the delivery of training, communications, and educational programs.
Partner and work in collaboration with many cross-functional departments such as Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Career and Succession, Training and Development, etc. on company-wide initiatives and multi-department projects.
Ensure constant data integrity with internal systems (ex: SAP), external systems (ex: TR Portal, Benefits Center), vendor file interfaces, etc.
Primary liaison with IT and Shared Services in the development, testing, implementation, and post-production review of all SAP changes and configuration requests related to Total Rewards.
Acts as center of excellence for preparing complicated reports and presentations for department members.
Assists with reconciliation, payment and monitoring of vendors. This may include Accounts Payable payments, and analyzing performance standards for outside Total Rewards vendors.
Coordinates the drafting and execution of Plan Document Amendments and Plan Restatements.
Ensure that all data required for annual testing, validation and administration of plans are delivered timely and accurately, minimizing any remediation efforts.
