Tooling Engineer

Description:

A well-respected and growing company in thin gauge thermoforming is seeking a Tooling Engineer to join their fast-paced and collaborative Design Team. This onsite role requires close interaction between designers, tool builders, and manufacturing to accelerate new product development. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced in designing custom thin gauge packaging tooling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop tooling for custom thin gauge packaging.
• Work closely with designers, tool builders, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless new product development.
• Utilize SolidWorks to create accurate and high-quality designs.
• Collaborate in a fast-paced and hands-off work environment that values innovation and efficiency.
• Provide technical expertise in thermoforming processes to optimize tooling design and manufacturing performance.

Required Skills & Experience:

✔ Bachelor’s degree (required).
✔ 5+ years of experience in designing complex, thin gauge thermoforming tools.
✔ Strong SolidWorks skills and hands-on experience.
✔ Self-motivated and driven, able to work with minimal supervision.
✔ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
