Description:
The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for driving direct sales and business development in the municipal water treatment market within the assigned territory: Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
The Role Focuses On
Sales and Business Development
- Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities in the municipal water treatment market.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and expand market share within the territory.
- Generate leads and qualify opportunities by understanding customer needs and aligning with company solutions.
- Lead direct sales efforts to municipalities, water treatment plants, and other government entities focused on water treatment infrastructure and services.
Account Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction with company products and services.
- Conduct regular follow-ups and meetings to review project needs, provide product updates, and identify potential for upselling or cross-selling additional solutions.
Market Research and Competitive Analysis
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive activity in the municipal water treatment market.
- Identify market drivers, barriers, and opportunities that impact the territory and develop tactics to address them.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the technical, engineering, and product development teams to understand product features and benefits, ensuring the solutions align with customer needs.
- Partner with marketing to develop tailored promotional materials and presentations for customer meetings and trade shows.
Reporting and Analysis
- Track and report on sales activity, pipeline development, and revenue forecasts using CRM tools.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports and present results to the Regional Sales Director.
