What You'll Do
- The Telehealth Veterinarian’s primary focus will include championing the support and education of Chewy’s pet parents through chat and video consultations.
- Telehealth Veterinarians will support Telehealth Veterinary Technicians with consultation escalations as needed.
- Act as a veterinary subject matter expert providing insights to the Veterinary Telehealth team as needed.
- Participate in self-development courses and Chewy required compliance training.
- May occasionally be asked to travel for on-site Chewy events or to represent Chewy at industry related events.
- Support the Learning & Development team, as needed, with shadowing sessions or training of new hires.
- Foster an environment of positive open communication.
What You'll Need
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM, VMD) or equivalent is required.
- An active veterinary license in good standing.
- 2+ years of small animal veterinary experience or equivalent industry experience.
- Must have proficient computer skills as this will require interacting with customers and Chewy team members remotely through an online platform.
- Must embrace forward thinking and curiosity.
- Have exemplary listening and problem-solving skills.
- Is comfortable collaborating with other veterinary professionals, utilizing a team-oriented environment.
- Is passionate about helping people and pets with empathy and excellent customer service focus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and perform well in a face paced, self-starter environment.
- Have access to high-speed internet and additional back up Wi-Fi via hotspot.
- Have a designated working space that is quiet and free from disruptions.
- Candidates must commit to at least 18 hours per week or more which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
