We are currently seeking a Class A CDL driver, with tanker endorsements, to join our team. This role isn't just about driving; it spans a variety of tasks throughout the year, including the upkeep of fertilizer pumps and other essential field equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and manage application equipment, including sprayers, spreaders, and trucks.
- Mix, load, and apply pesticides and fertilizers accurately, adhering to protocols.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment for safety and efficiency, and perform pre-and-post trip inspections.
- Coordinate with customers to manage application schedules effectively and accurately track receiving and delivery of fertilizers and chemicals.
- Safely handle and deliver bulk and packaged chemicals, ensuring the security of assets, inventories, supplies, and equipment
Qualifications
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with capabilities in troubleshooting and maintaining a wide range of agricultural equipment.
- Previous experience in agricultural operations is beneficial, but a keen willingness to learn and adapt is equally valued.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, capable of managing tasks and coordinating with team members, vendors, and customers alike.
- The role requires adaptability, quick thinking, and a firm commitment to safety practices, continuous training, and compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and shovel as needed.
- Basic knowledge of DOT rules, regulations, and policies, along with basic math skills.
- Current Class A CDL with tanker endorsements; HAZMAT (preferred).
- Candidates must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
- High School Graduate or GED/HS Equivalency.
