AsTechnical Sales Specialist, the focus will be on profitable revenue growth, customer relationship management and troubleshooting of technical questions and problems with equipment utilizing intimate knowledge of customers’ applications and systems so as to provide solutions that include Howden and Chart and Chart products/services.
What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…
- Provide solutions to customer system issues with Howden and Chart and Chart products/services through problem solving techniques. Solutions will be based on an excellent knowledge of customer systems and applications and will be provided by working with customers, reps/agents, sales staff and Field Operations personnel.
- Work closely with assigned Field Service Techs, Sales staff, Regional Sales Managers, and Key Account Managers to assist in the development and execution of a tactical strategy that creates profitable growth across the full range of Howden and Chart Aftermarket products and services for the designated market. Have an in depth understanding of the competition in the marketplace.
- Proactively seek opportunities to quote on projects at assigned customers through extensive knowledge of customer forecast maintenance cycles, independent identification of selling opportunities and engage in “upselling” and bundling techniques in order to profitably grow revenue.
- Assist Field Service Techs, Sales staff and Sales Reps/agents in closing contracts by distinguishing Howden and Chart proposals and capabilities.
- Develop and conduct internal and external training and presentations to leverage Howden and Chart product portfolio as a solution provider across an encompassing range of products, better educate staff and customers on Howden and Chart products and product issues, and methods to improve product performance.
- Retrieve critical site information about Howden and Chart installed base, providing it to Sales organization for proactive selling purposes.
- Evaluate requests that achieve both customer solutions and profitable growth for the Americas Region.
- Work closely with Sales Proposal Engineers and Technical Services staff to develop budget and firm proposals, based on market level pricing for product, services and turnkey proposals.
- Support Howden/Chart Uptime (digital remote monitoring) product implementation strategy through new installations, existing installations, and Long Term Service Agreements (LTSA) at Key Accounts within the Americas.
Your Education Should Be…
Associate Degree in a Technical or Business related area or experience commensurate with a degree.
Rotating Equipment Product Knowledge/experience utilized in air and gas handling industries
