Responsibilities Include:
- Creating quotes, budgets, and simple equipment layouts as needed.
- Processing and following up on sales leads.
- Managing and interpreting customer requirements and using the associated details to recommend product solutions to customers.
- Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education.
- Full product line presentation, including key advantages of each product to customers and industry professionals.
- Supporting marketing by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.
- Supporting customer service on all active projects.
- Working closely with Sales Manager in establishing new, and maintaining existing, relationships with customers; and in reporting marketing feedback on products, competition, and market conditions.
- Engaging with members of the sales team and technical experts.
- Qualified Candidates must possess:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific or engineering (a mechanical engineering degree is a plus) based field and experience in sales and the customer interface.
- Strongly prefer at least three years of experience working in technical applications engineering role.
- Must be organized, with excellent engineering analytical and problem-solving abilities, and enjoys talking to engineers.
- Extensive experience with effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and governmental regulations.
- Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Project
- Auto Cad 2D drafting ability is desired
