Description:
The mission of our AML team is to push next-generation machine learning algorithms and platform for the recommendation system, ads ranking and search ranking in our company. We also drive substantial impact for core businesses of the company. Currently we are looking for Technical Program Manager - Applied Machine Learning to join our team to support and advance that mission.
This position is located at Mountain View office.
What You'll Do
- Partner with our AML teams across the world to collaboratively define, manage, and drive cross functional programs and technologies to the machine learning platform(next gen) for the recommendation system, ads ranking and search ranking.
- Manage technology programs, defining milestones and success criteria, resource allocation, and successful on-time delivery, and helping the teams achieve the intended outcomes.
- Understand Machine Learning technologies and their applications used at Bytedance and beyond, and build strong partnerships with the business, engineering, and product teams.
- Exercise technical judgment in working with large, cross-functional teams, and organize the cross-functional workstreams
- Develop tools and processes to improve software engineering productivity, and create a collaborative team environment that fosters trust, creativity, speed, innovation, and learning.
- Communicate schedules, priorities, and status to all levels in the company, including generating new data needs and requirements and analyzing trends to provide actionable insights to teams.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or above with 3+ years of project delivery or technical leadership background, plus strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Effective communication skills to handle comms to teams, management and cross functional stakeholders at all levels, and a proven track record of getting things done/shipping projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in AI-related products is highly preferred
- Experience working in multi-time zone is preferred
