Description:
We have a NEW position for a Technical Consultant to join our team in the Industrial Water Treatment space at ChemTreat, where you will be at the forefront of our mission to maximize the power of water for our customers! You will provide vital technical support to our sales representatives, helping them select the right treatment programs and troubleshoot to meet customer cost and performance objectives. You will actively participate in the sales process, serving as the key technical advisor and making an impact as the product advocate for our solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to ChemTreat sales representatives in product screening and treatment program selections, the application of chosen treatment programs, and in troubleshooting treatment programs to meet the customer’s cost and performance objectives.
- Partner with sales team as the key advisor in the technology selection stage sales process.
- Assist account managers in conducting interviews with client management to gain an understanding of client business conditions, risks, and controls.
- Interface with client leads and become a confidant to the client.
- Available for field sales assistance to include plant surveys, proposal preparation, sales presentations, and customer/prospect entertainment.
- Conduct equipment inspections classified as confined space as defined by OSHA.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor of Arts/Sciences or Master’s degree in biology, chemistry, engineering, comparable military experience, or related.
- 7-10 or more years’ experience with a major water treatment company.
- Background in one or more key industries involving boiler, pretreatment, and open process cooling water treatment.
- Technical and in-depth knowledge in one or more key industries, including boiler internal treatment, BFW pretreatment, cooling water treatment, biological wastewater and surface water clarification
- Ability to present treatment recommendations in both oral and written communications
