Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced ServiceNow ITAM/SAM Technical Consultant to join our team.
This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting ServiceNow's IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) modules for our clients.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT asset lifecycle management, software licensing, and the ServiceNow platform. They will be able to translate business requirements into technical solutions and provide expert guidance to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Solution Design & Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of ServiceNow ITAM and SAM solutions, including discovery, normalization, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Configure and customize the ServiceNow platform to meet specific client needs.
- Requirements Gathering: Elicit and document client business requirements related to IT asset management and software asset management. Conduct workshops and interviews to understand current processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Technical Expertise: Possess deep technical knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, specifically the ITAM and SAM modules. Stay up-to-date with the latest ServiceNow releases and features.
- Data Management: Develop and implement data migration and integration strategies for bringing asset and license data into ServiceNow. Ensure data quality and accuracy.
- Integrations: Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow ITAM/SAM and other systems, such as procurement, finance, and security tools.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans to ensure the quality and stability of implemented solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Training & Documentation: Develop and deliver training to clients on the use of ServiceNow ITAM/SAM. Create and maintain documentation related to implemented solutions.
- Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients. Provide regular updates on project progress and address any concerns. *. Pre-Sales Support (Occasionally): Assist with pre-sales activities, such as demonstrations and presentations, to showcase our ServiceNow ITAM/SAM capabilities. *. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve existing ITAM/SAM processes and solutions. Contribute to the development of best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience1 implementing and supporting ServiceNow ITAM and SAM modules.
- Strong understanding of IT asset lifecycle management and software licensing principles.
- Experience with ServiceNow scripting, workflows, and integrations.
- Experience with data normalization and reconciliation techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- ServiceNow System Administrator certification preferred. ITIL certification a plus.
- Experience with other ITAM/SAM tools is a plus.
