Systems Engineer

Description:

In this role you will help bring new precision navigation systems to the Fleet. You will support US Navy ship and submarine navigation and tactical data sharing systems, providing support to help the organization drive toward more effective use of money, materials, equipment, and people.

Tasking will center on tracking acquisition milestones, maintaining and updating requirements documents, assisting with integration planning and activities, and the analysis of large databases. You will also document tests for advanced electronic systems, including distributed and standalone systems. You will work closely with Acquisition Program Managers to develop briefs and documentation for shareholders, and effectively integrate navigation systems. The engineer will work closely with hardware and software engineers to understand and verify system requirements and will also participate in testing and troubleshooting.

Required Qualifications
 

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is required
• 0-4 years professional experience, particularly in Navy systems knowledge or systems engineering experience
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Project
• An active DoD Secret security clearance is preferred. Must be able to qualify for DOD Secret Clearance
