Description:
The System VP of Corporate Development plays a pivotal role in driving UNC Health’s growth and strategic initiatives. The person in this position will be responsible for identifying and pursuing strategic partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, and other business development opportunities that align with our organization's mission and long-term objectives. This position reports directly to the Chief Strategy and Integration Officer and requires a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of successful corporate development in the healthcare sector.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning – Collaborate with the executive team to define and refine the company's growth strategy, identifying new business opportunities, markets, and partnerships that align with our mission and vision.
- Mergers and Acquisitions - Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of merger and acquisition opportunities, including due diligence, negotiations, and post-merger integration activities.
- Partnership Development - Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures with healthcare organizations, technology companies, and other relevant stakeholders to enhance our service offerings and market presence.
- Market & Financial Analysis – Monitor and assess market trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory changes in the healthcare industry to identify growth opportunities and potential risks. Collaborate with Finance team to conduct thorough financial analyses, including valuation models, to assess the financial viability and impact of potential transactions and partnerships.
- Team Leadership - Build and lead a high-performing corporate development team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to team members.
- Stakeholder Communication - Communicate corporate development strategies, progress, and results to the executive team, board of directors, and other key stakeholders

- Requires Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree strongly preferred.
