Description:
As a System Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for validating system-level requirements prior to production release. This includes testing functional and safety requirements for all products. You will work closely with system architects, hardware and software design engineers, program and project managers to maintain an expert-level understanding in the area of energy storage systems.
Responsibilities:
- Interact with system architects, hardware and software design engineers, program and project managers to maintain an expert level understanding in the area of energy storage systems.
- Participate in system DFMEAs.
- Execute integration and verification tests alongside architects and developers to enable rapid iteration on design and implementation.
- Create detailed and rigorous test specifications based on system requirements.
- Invent methods and tools to execute tests and evaluate results efficiently and dependably.
- Invent ways to leverage limited test resources for maximum product impact.
- Execute validation tests and document results.
- Communicate validation status and risk to management.
- Continuously look for ways to improve safety, performance, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- BS Degree in electrical, computer, or mechanical engineering or equivalent required.
- Experience working with DC systems from 1-10 kW.
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging electronics and complex electro-mechanical products.
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
- Experience with test automation a plus.
- Experience in battery management systems a plus.
- Interest in solving complex and time-critical problems.
