Survey Manager

Description:

We are seeking a Survey Manager to oversee survey projects from planning to execution. This role involves ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards while managing field crews and coordinating job prioritization for optimal efficiency. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schematics and analyzing geographical data using GIS software. The Survey Manager will also ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and collaborate with engineers and other professionals to integrate survey data into project designs.

In addition, you will train and mentor junior survey staff on technical skills and best practices, as well as review and validate survey results before submission to clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership experience and technical expertise in the surveying field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee survey projects from planning to execution, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

• Manage field crews and prioritize jobs for optimal efficiency.

• Develop and maintain project schematics and analyze geographical data using GIS software.

• Ensure compliance with surveying regulations at local, state, and federal levels.

• Collaborate with engineers and professionals to integrate survey data into project designs.

• Train and mentor junior survey staff on technical skills and best practices.

• Review and validate survey results before submitting to clients.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• WV Professional Surveyor license preferred; additional state licensure is a plus.

• 10+ years of experience in land surveying.

• Management experience is a plus.

• Proficiency in Carlson Surv CAD.

• Experience in the oil & gas industry, including road design, well pad design, construction layout, ALTA, and boundary surveys.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills for building relationships with clients and team members.

• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in land surveying.
