Duties

  • Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time.
  • Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Civil Engineer Division.
  • Represents the Civil Engineer Division with a variety of installation and functional area organizations to influence, motivate, and persuade them to accept options or take actions related to assigned programs.
  • Serves as director of the Civil Engineer Division providing executive level management and professional engineering direction.
  • Responsible for implementing effective planning and management of Base resources to meet both wartime and peacetime requirements.
  • Provides direction and continuing management actions to ensure all construction programs, i.e., Military Construction (MILCON) and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Programs are professionally planned, well justified, and executed on time.
  • Serves as the Base Fire Marshall (BFM).

  • This position requires travel by both scheduled and non-scheduled Government and commercial aircraft, as well as other modes of travel, under conditions specified in the DoD Joint Travel Regulations.
  • The candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or architecture from an accredited college or university, and be registered with the professional accrediting activity (professional engineer or registered architect).
  • Employee may be required to work any shift and/or irregular schedules, upon immediate notice, including Saturday, Sunday, and Holiday duty and must expect personal interruptions during off-duty hours.
  • Employee must be available to support mobility or readiness center (RC) operations in an exercise or contingency situation.
  • Employee must within 30-days of assuming this position and annually thereafter, file an OGE-450, “Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.” Employee is required to attend annual ethics and procurement integrity training.
