Duties
As the Supervisory Construction Control Representative, you will:
- Function as a first-line supervisor. Provide technical and administrative management and supervision for approximately (16) sixteen GS-809-12 Construction Control Representatives.
- Plan and carry out the full range of supervisory and managerial authorities related to the assignment of work, setting priorities, coordination with other programs, management, advisory services, technical work direction, setting performance standards and evaluating subordinates, advising subordinates on work and administrative matters.
- Make selections for non-supervisory positions, resolve complaints, effect minor disciplinary actions, identify training needs, recommend awards, and determine means to improve the productivity of the staff.
- Lead and manage teams comprised of SI museum representatives, contractors, and internal and external project and program managers from the beginning through completing the SI maintenance contract.
- Provide technical maintenance, engineering assistance, and advice to SI staff and private contractors, including review of 410 submittals, estimates, market analysis, drawings, system capabilities, capacities, and studies.
- Develop guidelines and procedures for capturing and analyzing maintenance projects for iconic facilities and project status and updates, as well as information necessary to develop processes that improve contract management.
- Create standard operating procedures, which include contract oversight, project prioritization, project coordination, project reviews, and project integration with other capital improvements, new construction, and maintenance projects.
