In this role, you will be responsible for Supervising team of Quality professionals to provide quality assurance over projects within portfolio, ensure the completion of the Quality Program deliverables and services throughout the project lifecycle, ensure Enbridge compliance with external and internal construction requirements and collect data, analyze, and share trends to support continuous improvement of stakeholders. What You Will Do
- Supervise a team of 10-15 quality professionals including employees and contractors.
- Provide people leadership of all direct reports: hiring, onboarding, performance management.
- Provide strategic leadership to Quality resources to achieve department objectives.
- Lead team to provide quality assurance for pipeline and pipeline facilities projects across North America.
- Develop estimates and handle budgets for provision of quality services reporting to project management.
- Develop, collect, and supervise quality metrics on projects within portfolio.
- Report on the status of projects and trends from a quality point of view.
- Provide real time notification of high-risk issues to management, and project team.
- Develop, collaborate, and implement quality improvement plans to support continuous improvement and mitigate risk in engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Develop effective networks and inter-departmental relationships across Enbridge business units.
- Develop team and team members to:
- Support design reviews by mining relevant lessoned learned and quality escapes to inform project.
- Provide Quality deliverables for Construction RFP, Review Specs, OQs, quality procedures.
- Provide SME level knowledge of specifications, standards, and codes.
- Provide pro-active risk mitigation and real time problem solving.
- Provide coaching and training to construction inspectors and construction contractors to mitigate risk.
- Provide assessment of construction inspection records.
- Provide field assessments as agreed upon with project management and construction.
- Monitor and report on engineering and construction contractor quality programs and follow up when required with improvement and corrective actions.
- Apply company quality management tools Quality Enhancement Reporting and Quality Incident Notifications.
- Facilitate and lead Root Cause Analysis
- Provide feedback on company specifications to support their continuous improvement.
- Develop field assurance assessment templates.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Lead special initiatives that support department and company objectives.
Who You Are
You have:
- A minimum of 10 years of Oil and Gas Engineering, Construction and/or Quality experience.
- Engineering Degree, Technical Diploma, or combination of educational accreditations and experience equivalent to a technical degree.
- Heavy industrial project experience having had collaborate with the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning teams and personnel.
- Execution planning, work management, problem solving, decision making and negotiating skills, supplemented with a practical proficiency.
- A technical and working knowledge of design and construction, standards, codes, and regulatory requirements associated with OPR-99 – CSA – PHMSA – DOT – API - ASME.
You Can
- An advanced technical understanding of drawings, materials, joining/welding and practical applications of weld procedures, welder qualifications, non-destructive examination, coating, pressure testing, geotechnical, civil, structural, electrical and records and turnover process.
- Knowledge of and/or technical certifications including ASQ, Welding, Coating, Auditing, Pipeline and Facility inspection.
- Knowledge of Federal, State and Provincial regulations applicable to pipeline and facilities construction.
- Data capture and analytic skills to enable detection and identification of risk.
- Collaborative skills to pro-actively and in real time assist project teams solve issues and mitigate risk.
