A leading general contractor with a century-long track record of delivering high-quality projects is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee K-12 and higher education construction projects in Columbus, Ohio. This role is responsible for managing on-site construction efforts, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets, enforcing safety protocols, and delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Oversee all on-site activities for K-12 and higher education construction projects from start to completion.
✅ Direct daily field operations, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
✅ Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain quality standards.
✅ Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
✅ Monitor construction progress, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
✅ Conduct regular site meetings to review project status and align team efforts.
✅ Ensure compliance with education facility codes, regulations, and best practices.
✅ Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to guarantee proper execution.
✅ Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, school officials, inspectors, and stakeholders.
✅ Document daily field activities, manage change orders, and provide progress reports.

Qualifications:

🔹 Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
🔹 Minimum 7 years of experience as a Superintendent, with a strong emphasis on K-12 or higher education projects.
🔹 Proven track record of successfully delivering education facility construction projects.
🔹 Deep knowledge of education facility construction requirements, codes, and safety standards.
🔹 Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
🔹 Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, etc.).
🔹 Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and make critical decisions under pressure.
