Success Coach

 

Description:

The Success Coach comprehensively supports students who are at risk for non-persistence, ensuring they have the necessary guidance and resources to succeed in their academic endeavors. This position assists in developing personalized plans, working with individuals on a one-on-one basis. The Success Coach coordinates and organizes relevant support services, small group activities, and events, actively engages in recruitment efforts, and fosters collaboration across various departments.

This position monitors student progress through regular assessment and tracking of academic performance, attendance, and engagement, utilizes data-driven approaches to identify potential barriers to persistence, makes appropriate recommendations for intervention and support, and fosters a supportive environment conducive to student retention and success. Ultimately, the goal is to empower students to complete their programs, certificates, academic, and/or personal goals successfully.

The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional evening and weekend commitments required. May require work at both campuses and travel between campuses.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to plan and implement events and activities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work from any RRCC campus (primarily our Lakewood campus with occasional hours at the Arvada campus).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Guidance and Counseling, Education, or a related field, from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience. An equivalency will not count towards the one-year requirement below.
  • Two years of customer service experience.
