Student Recruitment Specialist

Description:

Strayer University is seeking a Student Recruitment Specialist to play a crucial role in enrolling new students and guiding them through the admissions process in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. This role requires strong customer service and sales skills, as well as compliance with university policies and federal/state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

📞 Prospective Student Engagement:

• Make outbound calls and respond to inquiries from potential students.

• Set phone interview appointments and conduct interviews to assess educational backgrounds and career goals.

• Educate students about Strayer University’s academic programs, locations, and flexible course options.

📝 Admissions & Enrollment Support:

• Assist students with the application process, ensuring all qualifications and prerequisites are met.

• Guide students through financial options and admissions requirements.

• Ensure admissions files are complete and initial registration is finalized.

🤝 Collaboration & Compliance:

• Work closely with Student Services, Academics, and the University Registrar’s Office to support student enrollment.

• Adhere to all University policies and federal/state regulations regarding student recruitment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

✔ Education:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience).

✔ Experience:

• 2-5 years of customer service and/or sales experience preferred.

✔ Skills:

• Strong communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• High attention to detail and compliance.

• Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to travel (10%) as needed.

• Must be able to work over 40 hours per week when business needs require.

• Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain strong mental acuity.

• Must have regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
