Student Experience Manager

JOB DUTIES:

• Supervise and manage the Student Experience Team, including Assistant Museum Educator, Student Experience Associate, and Group Tours Associate (as 2nd report).
• Lead all logistical and administrative duties related to school groups during their Museum visits, including schedule changes, bus arrivals, check-in processing, incident reporting, school group chaperones assistance, and transitions guidance.
• Lead the logistical and administrative duties to prepare for in-person school group visits, including reviewing upcoming tour schedules, scheduling Student Experience staff, preparing clipboards and chaperone schedules, and overseeing lunch allocations.
• Lead the logistical and administrative duties for virtual field trips, including scheduling docents, ensuring virtual carts are maintained and operational, and operating virtual carts as needed.
• Lead the educational exhibition experience for school groups, including docent placement and communication, student worksheets, and control of tour flow.
• Lead logistical, administrative, and educational development of student summer programming, including conceptualizing and planning summer institute, scheduling speakers and education programs, and registering participants.
• Assist the Director of Education and Learning & Curriculum Team in educational student programming, educator professional development, and school group outreach.
• Work closely with the Director of Education for Upstander and student programming, the Group Tours Manager for group tour reservations logistics, and the Volunteer Manager for docent logistics.
• Work closely with Museum Educators, Senior Director of Education, and Chief Education Officer, as needed.
• Provide support to the Education Team in all its activities, as needed.
• Work occasional Museum evening programs, as needed.
• Assume other tasks, projects, and responsibilities, as assigned.
