I am currently recruiting for a leading engineering firm in New York City that is seeking a Structural Engineer specializing in high-rise residential buildings. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze structural systems for high-rise residential buildings, ensuring they meet stringent safety, stability, and performance standards.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and contractors to deliver innovative designs that maximize space efficiency while meeting the high standards of New York's luxury living market.
- Lead the engineering process from design through construction, conducting site inspections and providing technical oversight.
- Utilize advanced structural modeling software like ETABs, SAFE, and REVIT Structure to develop and optimize the design of building foundations, framing, and lateral systems.
- Ensure all projects adhere to New York City building codes and regulations, including seismic and wind load requirements for tall structures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- PE License (or actively pursuing licensure) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of structural engineering experience, with a focus on high-rise residential or commercial towers.
- Proficiency with high-rise design tools and a strong understanding of the structural challenges associated with tall buildings.
- Familiarity with NYC zoning regulations, building codes, and seismic/wind considerations.
