Description:
The Stock Plan Administration Manager is responsible for overall day to day administration of the company's global equity plans. This position involves frequent communication with internal and external clients affected by equity related processing, compliance, and reconciliation administration.
What You Will Be Doing
- Manage day-to-day equity administration, including integrity of data in the stock administration database, timely recording of new equity awards, exercises, sales, cancellations, forfeitures
- Provides direct support to equity plan participants which includes answering questions, preparing and disseminate equity plan communications and educational materials
- Partners with the company’s legal, HR, payroll, accounting, tax, treasury and finance teams on equity-related processing, compliance, and reporting
- Manage the relationship and work with outside service providers, including equity systems vendors, transfer agents, and broker service providers.
- Responsible for the financial reporting and disclosure of equity awards based on Black-Scholes valuation assumptions and other stock-based accounting entries required under US GAAP
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly reconciliation of records between the equity administration platform and internal systems
- Operate as a trusted advisor on issues and trends; provide general consulting services leveraging expertise and significant best practice knowledge
- Operate as an innovative thought leader; contribute significantly to the overall growth and quality of the department through knowledge sharing and coaching on current best practices and market trends
- Analyze, audit, and reconcile data to enhance accuracy, efficiencies, and processes
- Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland’s Information Systems Security Policy
What Will Make You Successful
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred
- 7+ years of prior experience in equity administration
- Certified Equity Professional (CEP) certification preferred
- Shareworks experience preferred
- Project management skills with experience in process improvement
- Excellent detail orientation, well-developed organization, and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with high initiative, flexibility, and team approach to work.
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
- Excellent ability to develop and use engaging, informative and compelling presentation methodologies
- Excellent business judgement and attention to detail
- Capable of identifying and completing tasks independently with a high sense of urgency and ownership

- Understanding of US federal and state taxation and general global taxation of equity transaction
