Certified Sterilization Technician and trained dental assistant with one to three years experience in laboratory work preferred.
The Sterilization Technician will wash, bag, and sterilize dental instruments for different groups within the client, operating related equipment with little to no supervision.
Other responsibilities may include picking up dirty instruments and dropping off and organizing clean instruments for supported groups, labeling cassettes and instruments as needed, and organizing the quality control aspects of sterilization.
Would be beneficial for the person in this role to master the knowledge of sterilization supplies, cassettes, and equipment in stock, and as a result, be able to direct students with their needs when necessary.
Must comply with all federal and state regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, DPH, AAMI, ANSI) and local standards.
