Description:

  • Monthly Job review and analysis- proactive and month end review of revenue recognition, job cost analysis and month end reporting (including analysis and variance commentary).
  • This includes and is not limited to ownership and execution of related entries, such as cost accruals/deferrals and revenue accruals/deferrals. Included for other regional reporting entities when requested.
  • Business Line relationship- Provide guidance, direction, and assistance to assigned business line in all matters of Finance. Management Accountant should act as a single point of contact bridging the gap between finance and operations as necessary.
  • Monthly Accounting close- Regular close entries and activity, analysis and reconciliations. Monthly entries including depreciation, capitalization/disposal of fixed assets, amortization of prepaids, regular overhead accruals, amortization of past overhead deferrals, bad debt provision, FX gain/loss, etc.
  • Additionally, conduct all month end balance sheet reconciliations, and posting of all Intercompany invoices, creating all necessary intercompany confirmations, and creating the monthly Intercompany regional report.
  • Non closing duties include AFE Reporting, AFE closures, updating the rent schedule, posting of rent invoices, updating the lease schedules, posting lease invoices, Inventory adjustments, Fixed Asset adjustments, depreciation start and end dates, and updating fixed asset dimensions .
  • When opportunities provided (and at Controller's guidance), provide mentorship, guidance and act as resource to other accounting managers in the region and other members of finance team.
  • Tax compliance and reporting- Assist Tax Manager and Controller working with external CPA firm, to ensure compliance and accuracy in reporting of various taxes such as, but not limited to, Federal Income, State Income, Property, Withholding, Excise,1 099, 1042, etc. Areas of particular assistance are that of US Withholding Taxes, Property Taxes and enquires from CPA firm regarding Federal and State Income tax calculations.
  • Other process improvement and documentation exercises- increasing automation in journal processing, improved usage of automated reporting, creation of utilization reporting (with assisting of HQ offices) External financial and other audits -As needed, complete requests for external audit and other audits, along with stock and fixed asset internal/external counts.
  • M&A assistance- As required to assist with due diligence of all new and proposed acquisitions, including ensuring proper purchase accounting.
  • Process Improvement- Reviewing processes on a continuous basis to ensure best practices and effective processes are in place for cost tracking
