Sr. Robotics Sw Engineer

 

Description:

As we build our team, we leverage a network of consultancies to develop our initial fully integrated product. Reporting to the CDO, you will be working closely with these consultancies to:

1. Develop algorithms and software to optimize the performance of Magnendo’s robotic arm manipulation.

2. Drive the integration and testing of software prototypes, allowing for rapid iterations consistent with iterative development processes.

3. Translate control algorithms into working, reliable software.

You thrive on teamwork and are comfortable wearing many hats, as is often necessary in a fast-paced startup environment. You strive for simplicity in your design and embrace agile development methodologies. You bring a wealth of relevant experience and are comfortable driving innovation with the rigor that medical device development standards mandate. You are a critical thinker with excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills.

 

Qualification:

 

Education: A MS or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.

 

Experience: Candidates should have strong technical skills including proficiency in C++ and Python and experience with a RT Linux environment and command line tools, as well as familiarity with build systems (CMake) and version control systems (GIT). A proven track record of excellence, with 5+ years of experience in medical robotics or related fields is required. Additionally, familiarity with robotic development tools such as Drake, ROS, Moveit, and RVIZ is highly preferred.
